Cloudflare offers a globally distributed content delivery network with DNS. Technically, the information transfer between your browser and our website is routed through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare Workers

Requests submitted through our forms are received and processed by a serverless function ("Cloudflare Worker"). The provider is likewise Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. This involves processing the data you enter in the form as well as technical connection data (in particular your IP address), the latter also to limit abusive bulk requests. Your form data is not stored permanently within this function; it is forwarded to us by email immediately (see the section "Sending our emails: Mailjet").

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR insofar as the processing serves the initiation or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in processing requests securely and reliably. Data transfer to the USA is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission.

Data Processing Agreement

Cookies

Contact Form

The submission is handled by a Cloudflare Worker that forwards the inquiry to our mailbox by email without storing it permanently (see the sections "Cloudflare Workers" and "Sending our emails: Mailjet").

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular retention periods, remain unaffected.

Needs Assessment (Quiz)

On individual pages we offer a short needs assessment in the form of a questionnaire. In doing so, we process your answers to the questions asked (current situation, goal, decision-making role, time frame) as well as your name, email address, company, optionally your phone number and your description of the project. This information is transmitted to us in the same way as a contact form inquiry and is used exclusively to prepare and answer your request.

The legal basis, storage duration and options for revocation correspond to the information in the "Contact Form" section. In addition, we evaluate the selected answer options alone (without your contact details) for statistical purposes in order to improve our offering; details can be found in the "PostHog" section.

Inquiry by Email or Telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect our forms against automated entries and spam, we use "Cloudflare Turnstile". The provider is Cloudflare Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

Turnstile checks whether an entry is made by a human or by an automated program. To do this, Turnstile analyzes technical characteristics of your device and browser as well as your behavior on the page. Among other things, your IP address, information about your browser and operating system, the time spent on the page and interactions with the page are transmitted to Cloudflare. Turnstile may also store or read information on your device for this purpose.

Turnstile is only loaded after you have expressly activated the spam protection in the respective form. The storage of, or access to, information on your device as well as the processing of your data therefore take place on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future by clearing your browser's session storage or closing the browser tab. Without this consent you cannot use our forms; in that case you can reach us by email at any time.

Sending our emails: Mailjet

For the technical delivery of the emails generated by our forms (forwarding your inquiry to us and any confirmation of receipt sent to you), we use the service "Mailjet". The provider is Mailjet SAS, 13-13 bis Rue de l'Aubrac, 75012 Paris, France (part of the Sinch Group).

Mailjet processes the data contained in the respective email, in particular your name, your email address and the content of your inquiry, as well as the technical data required for delivery. Processing takes place on servers within the European Union.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR insofar as the processing serves the initiation or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in reliable and secure email delivery. 5. Analytics Tools

PostHog (cookieless audience measurement)

This website uses the analytics service "PostHog". The provider is PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. We exclusively use PostHog's EU Cloud, where data is processed and stored on servers within the European Union (Frankfurt am Main, Germany).

We operate PostHog in cookieless mode. No cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device. In order to attribute repeat page views within a single day to one session, PostHog generates a check value (hash) on the server side from, among other things, your IP address and your browser identification, which changes daily. Your IP address is not stored permanently, and no cross-device or cross-site profiles are created. We are therefore unable to identify you personally through this.

The following is recorded in particular:

pages visited and time spent
the previously visited page (referrer)
approximate location based on the IP address (country, region)
device type, screen size, browser and operating system
interactions with individual page elements, e.g., clicks on buttons and links
events such as the submission of a form or of the needs assessment, including the answer options selected there (without your contact details)

PostHog is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in statistically analyzing usage behavior on our website in order to improve our offering technically and in terms of content. Since in cookieless mode no information is stored on or read from your device, consent pursuant to § 25 para. 1 TDDDG is not required for this.

6. Plugins and Tools

Google Fonts (Local Hosting)

This site uses so-called Google Fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. The Google Fonts are installed locally. A connection to Google servers does not take place.

Appointment booking: Proton Calendar

We use the booking function of Proton Calendar to schedule appointments. The provider is Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, Switzerland.

On our website the booking page is merely linked. Only when you click the corresponding link are you forwarded to the booking page operated by Proton and a connection to Proton's servers is established. In this process, technical connection data (in particular your IP address) and the information you provide there to book an appointment (usually name, email address, selected time slot and an optional note) are processed. Without clicking the link, no data is transmitted to Proton.

Booked appointments are stored in our calendar hosted at Proton. Processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR insofar as the appointment serves the initiation or performance of a contract, otherwise on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in straightforward appointment scheduling. The data remains with us until the purpose for storage no longer applies; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

7. Audio and Video Conferences

Data Processing

For communication with our customers, we use online conference tools, among other things. The tools we use are listed below. When you communicate with us via video or audio conference over the Internet, your personal data is collected and processed by us and the provider of the respective conference tool.

The conference tools collect all data that you provide/use to use the tools (email address and/or your phone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants, and other "context information" related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required for handling online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.

If content is exchanged, uploaded, or otherwise made available within the tool, it is also stored on the servers of the tool providers. Such content includes, in particular, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared during the use of the service.

Please note that we do not have full control over the data processing operations of the tools used. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider. For further information on data processing by the conference tools, please refer to the privacy policies of the respective tools listed below.

Purpose and Legal Basis

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If consent has been requested, the use of the respective tools is based on this consent; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.

Storage Duration

Data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request deletion, revoke your consent for storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
