Project "Swipecar"
Startup VentureUsed car shopping as simple as swiping on dating apps
A startup venture with ASCIT as technical cofounder, currently under the working title Swipecar: A mobile first web app that revolutionizes used car shopping for young people (18–35). Instead of endless scrolling through listings, a curated feed with videos, high quality images, and Tinder-style swipe gestures.
AI powered onboarding meets intelligent scoring algorithm. A car community for buyers and a new sales channel for dealers.
The Vision
Buying a used car should no longer be a nightmare. Especially for young people between 18 and 35, whose interaction with digital products has fundamentally changed: short, visual, swipe based formats instead of endless lists and dozens of filters. The platform makes car searching as intuitive and exciting as a dating app while building a car community where people discover, react, share, and buy. For dealers, it opens an entirely new sales channel with direct access to a young, active audience.

The Problem
Used car portals are built for traditional internet users: dozens of filters, endless scrolling, overloaded listings without emotional connection. For 18- to 35-year-olds looking for their first car, this is frustrating. They often don't even know exactly what they want, let alone which brand or engine is the right one.
The app flips the process. Instead of filters, an AI conversation. Instead of lists, a curated feed with video content and high quality images. No login wall, no paperwork. Just swipe, react, share, and find the right car. For dealers, it provides direct access to an audience that traditional portals can barely reach.
What Makes the Platform Special
Swipe Experience and AI
- Fullscreen feed with videos and high quality images in TikTok style
- Tinder-style swipe gestures: left, right, up, down
- AI powered onboarding: Guided discovery of user preferences
- Intelligent scoring algorithm with multidimensional weighting
- Freshness boost for new listings in the feed
Community and Interaction
- User profiles with avatar, preferences, and personal garage
- Share and recommend vehicles via WhatsApp, link, or native sharing
- Emoji reactions: Rate cars with fire, heart, wow, and more
- Parking Lot: Personal collection of liked vehicles
- No login wall, join instantly and upgrade later
New Sales Channel for Dealers
- Access to a young audience that traditional portals can't reach
- Listings with up to 20 images and video upload
- 4 contact paths: Call, WhatsApp, Email, Appointment
- Lead management with callback system and analytics
- Analytics: Reach, interactions, and conversion per vehicle
The Technical Challenges
Intelligent Scoring Algorithm
Simple filtering isn't enough. We calculate a multidimensional score server side:
- Weighted dimensions: Budget, body type, brand, fuel
- Additional factors: transmission, mileage, age, power, color
- Freshness boost for new listings and penalties for repeated rejections
- Serverside caching for performant feed calculation
Anonymous First Architecture
No login wall with full functionality was architecturally demanding:
- Anonymous authentication as default
- Seamless upgrade to email account without data loss
- Session persistence across anonymous and registered users
- Automated tests for all critical functionality
Why This Project Shows What We Can Do
As technical cofounders, we are responsible for the entire product development. From product concept through architecture to deployment and operations. While Trayed showcases our B2B expertise, this project proves our versatility in the B2C space.
From community features to dealer integration to AI powered by Claude. Tech stack (Next.js 16, React 19), touch optimized mobile first design, and an anonymous first architecture that works without login walls. Fullstack competence across different frameworks.
